5 years agoTexas Rangers outfielder Hunter Pence (back) was scratched from the starting lineup on Friday with lower back tightness. Nick Solak is serving as the designated hitter and will bat fifth against White Sox starter Dylan Cease. Consider Pence day-to-day for now. Solak, who was acquired from the Rays this summer, has burst onto the scene after being called up recently. The 24-year-old prospect is 5-for-14 (.357) with a homer, four runs and two RBI in his first four major league games.
