Hunter Harvey On The Verge Of Simulated Games
4 years agoBaltimore Orioles relief pitcher Hunter Harvey (oblique) is working out and throwing in Sarasota, Fla., and he's on the verge of throwing in simulated games. Harvey landed on the 60-day injured list with a strained left oblique back in March, so he has yet to pitch this season. The 26-year-old right-handed reliever could return by the end of this month if he doesn't have any setbacks during his rehab. In two big league seasons as a reliever, Harvey has a 3.00 ERA and 1.13 WHIP while striking out 17 and walking six in just 15 innings over 17 relief appearances. Cesar Valdez is the one to own in fantasy for saves, but Harvey could return to a high-leverage role in the back of Baltimore's bullpen when he's fully healthy.
