5 years agoKansas City Royals third baseman Hunter Dozier (chest) will start taking batting practice on Friday in Minnesota, and manager Ned Yost left open the possibility of Dozier skipping a rehab assignment when he's ready. Dozier was believed to possibly return from the injured list on Wednesday, but that didn't happen. If he doesn't need a rehab assignment, he could return to KC's lineup later this weekend. The 27-year-old has had a breakout season in 2019 by hitting .314/.398/.589 with 11 home runs, 27 runs, 33 RBI and a steal in 185 at-bats.
