Hunter Brown Feels Fine After Bullpen Session
2 years agoHouston Astros starting pitcher Hunter Brown (back) threw 25 pitches during a bullpen session on Sunday and said his back felt fine. He's back on track to be ready for his first turn through the team's starting rotation to begin the 2023 regular season. The 24-year-old is expected to throw a simulated game next week, and he could be in line to start the team's home opener on April 3 against the Detroit Tigers. Brown is the club's top prospect, per MLB Pipeline, and has the skills to become very attractive in all mixed fantasy leagues sooner than later. He misses bats at an above-average rate and also keeps the ball out of the air. His fantasy ceiling could be limited due to workload restrictions in his first full MLB season, but Brown is an arm to watch.
