Howie Kendrick On Schedule In Rehab
6 years agoWashington Nationals second baseman Howie Kendrick (Achilles) said he has started running and is on schedule in his rehab from a ruptured Achilles last season. He expects to be ready for the start of spring training but knows he still has several hurdles to clear before then. The 35-year-old is a nice utility guy to have around for the Nats and even though he might open the year as the starting second baseman, he's not a high-ceiling fantasy option for those in mixed leagues. The Nats could add another body to compete with him at the keystone, too. Kendrick hit .303/.331/.474 with four homers and 12 RBI in just 40 games last year before his injury.
