Hector Noesi Opting Out Of 2020 Season
4 years agoPittsburgh Pirates manager Derek Shelton said that relief pitcher Hector Noesi has decided to opt out of the 2020 season amid the coronavirus pandemic, citing family reasons. Noesi wasn't even a lock to make Pittsburgh's Opening Day roster as a middle reliever, so there's nothing really to see here from a fantasy perspective. The 33-year-old Dominican reliever made his first big league appearance last year for the first time since 2015 with the White Sox. He had an ugly 8.46 ERA, 1.59 WHIP and 7.8 K/9 in 12 outings (four starts) over 27 2/3 innings with the Marlins.
