6 years agoThe St. Louis Cardinals placed outfielder Harrison Bader on the 10-day injured list on Wednesday with a right hamstring strain and called up outfielder Lane Thomas from Triple-A Memphis in a corresponding move. The injured list stint is retroactive to Sunday. Thomas will be making his major league debut and could split time in center field with Dexter Fowler until Bader is back. He's the team's No. 7 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, after clubbing 27 homers -- led all Cardinals minor leaguers -- and driving in 88 runs with Double-A Springfield and Memphis in 2018. Bader could be back as soon as next week, so keep him reserved in NL-only leagues. Jose Martinez will benefit from everyday playing time over the next week.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
