Gunnar Henderson Extends On-Base Streak With Homer
2 days agoBaltimore Orioles shortstop Gunnar Henderson stayed raging-hot in Wednesday afternoon's win over the visiting Cleveland Guardians, clubbing his 26th home run of the year. Henderson extended his on-base streak to 33 games with Wednesday's showing, first driving an RBI single into center field off Guardians right-hander Carlos Carrasco to bring home a run for the Orioles and tie the game in the second inning, and later tying the game at two as he crushed a solo homer to right-center field during the fifth frame. Over 95 at-bats in the month of June, the 22-year-old rising superstar is slashing .351/.447/.701 with eight big flies, 16 RBI, 28 runs scored, and six stolen bases. It's going to be fun watching Henderson and Aaron Judge jockey for the American League MVP Award this summer.
