Gregory Polanco To Miss Rest Of Season
6 years agoPittsburgh Pirates outfielder Gregory Polanco (knee, shoulder) will miss the rest of the year after suffering a "significant" bone bruise in his left knee that will require six to eight weeks of rest and rehab. Polanco injured both his knee and left shoulder during an awkward slide on Friday night. He finishes the year hitting .254/.340/.499 with a career-high 23 home runs, 81 RBI, 75 runs scored and 12 stolen bases in 130 games. He can safely be dropped in redraft leagues. Jordan Luplow should see a lot more playing time down the stretch as a result, but he could split time with Pablo Reyes and Adam Frazier.
