Giovani Bernard Signs Two-Year Deal
5 years agoThe Cincinnati Bengals signed running back Giovani Bernard to a two-year, $10.3 million extension on Tuesday, according to a source. He'll make $5.9 million in 2019 and $11 million over two seasons, including a $600,000 bonus due in March. Bernard is still only 27 years old, but it feels like he's been around for much longer in Cincy. He played in only 12 games last year and had a disappointing 56 carries for 211 yards and three touchdowns while adding a career-low 35 receptions for 218 yards and no scores through the air. Bernard is the direct pass-catching handcuff to Joe Mixon and is a late-round target only in PPR leagues.
