Gio Gonzalez Won't Be Back Before All-Star Break
5 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Gio Gonzalez (arm) will not be back before the All-Star break. Gonzalez's throwing schedule was pushed back after his bullpen session last week didn't go as well as hoped. The left-hander has been decent with the Brew Crew in his six starts, posting a 3.19 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 26 strikeouts in 31 innings. He's not much of an option in shallow mixed leagues but should once again be a streaming consideration in the right matchups in much deeper leagues when he makes his return to the rotation in the second half. Gonzalez has been slowed by a dead arm and last started for Milwaukee on May 27.
