Giancarlo Stanton Riding Seven-Game Hitting Streak
4 years agoNew York Yankees designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton is red-hot at the plate right now, as he's sporting a seven-game hitting streak. Stanton has recorded multi-hit efforts in four of those contests, including each of the last three games. The slugger's batting average has risen from .158 to .250, which is a lot closer to the .263 mark that Statcast expects of him. Stanton has a great chance to extend his hitting streak on Friday against Tigers' lefty Tarik Skubal, who has allowed a .293 expected batting average and .603 slugging percentage, along with a 15.5 percent barrel rate.
