Gavin Stone Dominates White Sox In Shutout
2 days agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Gavin Stone dominated on the mound, striking out seven during his complete-game shutout against the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday night. Stone hurled LA's first shutout since Walker Buehler did it back in April 2022, and it was the Dodgers' first from a rookie since back in 2013. The 25-year-old former top prospect is locked into the starting rotation with the team dealing with so many injuries to their pitchers, compiling a 2.73 ERA and 1.12 WHIP with 70 punchouts and 20 walks covering 89 innings this year. Stone will look for the 10th win of his breakout campaign when he gets the ball next week in a matchup against the division-rival Arizona Diamondbacks at Chavez Ravine.
