Gary Kubiak Named Offensive Coordinator In Denver
6 years agoThe Denver Broncos announced on Wednesday that former head coach Gary Kubiak will be the team's offensive coordinator in 2019. Kubiak hasn't been on the field coaching in the last two years, but he was still in Denver's front office. He will return to the sidelines to run an offense with plenty of young talent in running backs Phillip Lindsay and Royce Freeman and wide receiver Courtland Sutton. But until the Broncos find a more consistent quarterback, their offense could continue to be mediocre. Denver ranked 19th in yards per game (350.1), 19th in passing yards per game (230.9), 12th in rushing yards per game (119.2) and 24th in points per game (20.6) in 2018.
