Franklin Perez Returns To Action At Single-A
5 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Franklin Perez (shoulder) returned to action with High-A Lakeland on Tuesday and allowed three hits and an earned run while walking two and striking out three in 3 2/3 innings. In his first start off the injured list he threw 39 of his 62 pitches for strikes. The team's No. 3 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, is overshadowed because of his injury issues and by both Casey Mize and Matt Manning, but he's worth watching in dynasty/keeper leagues if he's able to stay healthy for the remainder of the 2019 season.
