Francisco Lindor Close To Rehab Assignment
6 years agoCleveland Indians shortstop Francisco Lindor (ankle) successfully ran the bases on Friday and Saturday and is close to starting a rehab assignment with Triple-A Columbus. He'll work out with the Indians on Sunday, and as long as that goes well he'll meet with Columbus on Monday. The All-Star shortstop has been out since Feb. 6 when he initially strained his right calf doing drills in preparation for spring training. There are no set number of at-bats for Lindor to receive on his rehab assignment before he makes his season debut. Lindor is moving along quickly, which is music to his owners' ears. He has the potential to be a fantasy difference-maker when he's back in the big leagues.
