Francisco Lindor Cleared For Rehab Assignment
6 years agoCleveland Indians shortstop Francisco Lindor (calf) has been cleared to start a rehab assignment with Triple-A Columbus this week. He's been out since Feb. 6 when he initially strained his right calf in preparation for spring training. He sprained his left ankle running the bases in a minor league intrasquad game in spring training. Cleveland isn't setting a timeline for the length of his rehab assignment, but manager Terry Francona said he didn't think Lindor would need many at-bats. That means Lindor could be back with the Tribe later this week or weekend for his season debut. Lindor is one of the best all-around players in the majors and will be a huge boost to fantasy owners' and the Indians lineup.
