Francis Martes Suspended 162 Games
5 years agoHouston Astros pitcher Francis Martes was suspended for 162 games without pay after testing positive for Boldenone, a performance-enhancing drug. Martes was suspended for a similar offense last March, so he'll miss the entire 2020 season for his second violation. The 24-year-old Dominican last pitched in the big leagues in 2017, making 32 appearances (four starts) while posting a 5.80 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and striking out 69 hitters in 54 1/3 innings. He obviously won't be anywhere near the fantasy radar in 2020 and might find it tough to make a big league roster moving forward.
