Fernando Tatis Jr. Might Not Return This Weekend
6 years agoSan Diego Padres manager Andy Green said that shortstop prospect Fernando Tatis Jr. (hamstring) will move to the team's spring training complex in Arizona to continue his rehab. It's unknown how long he'll stay in Arizona, but the Padres might not activate him from the injured list on Friday. It would make sense for the Padres to play it cautiously with baseball's No. 2 prospect, so be patient with his return. As long as he's out, expect Manny Machado to keep filling in at the 6 with Ty France seeing most of the work at third base. Tatis was holding his own so far in 2019, hitting .300/.360/.550 with six homers, 14 runs, 13 RBI and six stolen bases in 100 at-bats. He should remain owned everywhere.
