Fernando Tatis Jr. Injures Thumb
6 years agoSan Diego Padres shortstop prospect Fernando Tatis Jr. (thumb) injured his left thumb in a minor league game with Double-A San Antonio on Thursday while trying to steal his 17th base of the year. He also hit his 16th home run in the game, but the Padres will know more about his status on Friday. The No. 3 overall prospect, per MLB.com, is hitting .286/.355/.507 with 16 homers, 43 RBI and 16 steals in 88 games and certainly could play in the big leagues later this year. He should already be stashed in all dynasty leagues.
