Felix Bautista Picks Up Win Over White Sox
2 years agoBaltimore Orioles rookie relief pitcher Felix Bautista picked up his fourth win of the year in Thursday's 4-3 extra-inning victory over the Chicago White Sox. Bautista tossed two shutout and hitless innings, walking none and striking out two. He came on to keep the White Sox off the board in the 10th and 11th frames. The 27-year-old right-hander has emerged as the closer for an up-and-coming Orioles team in the hunt for a wild-card spot down the stretch. In 56 relief outings in 2022, Bautista has a 1.62 ERA, 0.84 WHIP, 73 strikeouts and 16 walks in 55 2/3 innings to go along with nine saves. In 11 outings in the month of August, he's perfect in six save chances and has struck out 17 in 12 1/3 frames.
