6 years agoMinnesota Vikings defensive end Everson Griffen will not travel with the team and will not play on Thursday against the Rams, according to head coach Mike Zimmer. Griffen is currently in the hospital being examined with serious mental-health issues. “It’s about him getting better. In the five years I’ve been here, I’ve always loved Everson," Zimmer said. There is no timetable for Griffen's return, so you'll have to make other plans if you own him in IDP leagues. Griffen had a career-high 13 sacks last year, so losing him for any amount of time will be a blow to Minnesota's pass rush.
