Eury Perez To Have Innings Limit In 2024
9 months agoMiami Marlins manager Skip Schumaker said that right-hander Eury Perez will have a to-be-determined innings limit in 2024 after throwing 91 1/3 innings over 19 starts in his first major-league season last year. All in all, the 20-year-old threw a total of 128 innings between the majors and minors. He ended the season on the injured list but was great in his first taste of the big leagues with a 3.15 ERA (4.11 FIP) and 1.13 WHIP with 31 walks and 108 strikeouts for the Fish. The hype is real, and Perez will no doubt open the 2024 season in Miami's starting rotation. Fantasy managers should forecast an innings boost to around 160 innings in his second big-league season. Perez has as much fantasy upside as any young pitcher in the game.
