1 year agoOakland Athletics outfielder Esteury Ruiz (shoulder) will undergo X-rays and possibly an MRI exam on Thursday after injuring his right shoulder diving back into first base in Wednesday's 12-3 blowout win over the Detroit Tigers. Manager Mark Kotsay said Ruiz felt "something," but wasn't sure if it was a pop. The good news is that Ruiz went 2-for-4 with his league-leading 43rd stolen base of the year, two RBI and a run scored in the game before leaving early. We'll know more on the 24-year-old speedster's status on Thursday, but with only three games left until next week's All-Star break, fantasy managers shouldn't be surprised if we don't see Ruiz until the start of the second half.
