Ervin Santana Cut, Eloy Jimenez Back
6 years agoThe Chicago White Sox designated starting pitcher Ervin Santana for assignment on Friday and reinstated outfielder Eloy Jimenez from the bereavement list in a corresponding move. Santana was awful in his three starts for Chicago, going 0-2 with a 9.45 ERA, 1.88 WHIP and just five K's in 13 1/3 innings. He can safely be dumped by any owners that were using him in AL-only leagues. Jimenez, one of the best young outfielders in the game, will return to the everyday lineup. The 22-year-old is off to a slow start (.231 average, three homers), but his upside is tantalizing and he'll have hot streaks eventually. Get him back into your lineups.
