6 years agoMilwaukee Brewers first baseman/outfielder Eric Thames (knee) left the game early on Friday with right knee soreness after a collision in the outfield with teammate Lorenzo Cain. Thames was hitless with a strikeout in his only plate appearance before leaving. The severity of his injury is unknown, but don't be surprised if he doesn't play the rest of the weekend. The left-handed slugger is hitting a lowly .229 on the year, but his 16 homers and 37 RBI make him useful in a platoon role against right-handers in deeper leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
