6 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Erasmo Ramirez (shoulder) will be activated from the disabled list and start on Sunday against the Astros. Ramirez is taking the rotation spot of Felix Hernandez, who was demoted to the bullpen for the first time in his career. The soft-tossing right-hander hasn't made a start since April 27, so it'd be unrealistic to expect much from him immediately, especially against the first-place Astros. Ramirez also had allowed 11 earned runs over 9 2/3 innings in his two starts this year. He can be a useful streamer in deeper leagues, depending on the matchup.
