Emmanuel Sanders Winds Up With Saints
5 years agoThe New Orleans Saints agreed to a two-year, $16 million deal with wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders on Friday. The deal can be worth up to $19 million with incentives. Sanders spoke with the Cowboys and the Packers, but preferred the Saints with quarterback Drew Brees giving it one more run at a Super Bowl in 2020. The 33-year-old caught 36 passes for 502 yards and three touchdowns in 10 games with the Niners after a trade from the Broncos and was coming off a ruptured Achilles in 2018. He's lost a step but lands in a fine environment where he could be the team's No. 2 wideout behind stud Michael Thomas. Sanders could be a nice low-cost value pick later in drafts, especially in PPR formats.
