3 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Elieser Hernandez (quadriceps) threw a 20-pitch bullpen session on Monday. Hernandez has made slow progress since straining his right quadriceps while running the bases more than two months ago, but he's back on a mound now. The 26-year-old right-hander has made just two starts this year, but he could be a streaming option in deeper leagues late in the season. Hernandez had a strong 32.1 percent strikeout rate and excellent 4.7 percent walk rate while allowing only nine earned runs in 25 2/3 innings over his six starts for the Fish last year. While it was a small sample size, he also had nine K's and no walks in his 7 1/3 innings this year before suffering his quad injury.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
