Elieser Hernandez Begins Baseball Activities
3 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Elieser Hernandez (quadriceps) has started doing range-of-motion exercises and light throwing. Hernandez was placed back on the injured list three weeks ago and was then moved to the 60-day injured list last week, assuring that he won't be back with the Fish until at least another month. The 26-year-old right-hander is dealing with a severe strain. Fantasy managers can continue to ignore him, as Hernandez has made only two starts this season, posting a 3.68 ERA, 0.68 WHIP, nine strikeouts and no walks over just 7 1/3 innings pitched. He injured his quad while running the bases after just returning after a two-month absence for a biceps injury. It's been that kind of year so far for Hernandez.
