Edwin Encarnacion Removed From Game Saturday
6 years agoCleveland Indians designated hitter Edwin Encarnacion (ankle) was taken out of the game early on Saturday with a "mild right ankle sprain." Encarnacion had two hits, three runs scored, two RBI and a walk in four plate appearances before leaving the game. While the injury isn't serious, expect the Indians to rest him for at least a game or two after clinching the division on Saturday. Encarnacion hasn't hit for much average (.239), but he has 31 homers, 70 runs scored and 99 RBI on the season.
