Edward Cabrera To Start Tuesday
1 year agoMiami Marlins right-hander Edward Cabrera (shoulder) is slated to be activated from the 15-day injured list in order to start on Tuesday against the St. Louis Cardinals. Cabrera didn't make any minor-league rehab starts, but he did throw a five-inning simulated game last Thursday. The 25-year-old will be pretty risky in fantasy lineups on Tuesday because he hasn't pitched in an MLB game since June 13, even though he'll be facing off against the last-place Cardinals in his first start back. Fantasy managers should expect his pitch count to be somewhat limited. Cabrera hasn't been nearly as good as he was last year, going 5-5 with a 4.70 ERA (4.49 FIP), 1.40 WHIP and 41 walks in 67 innings over 14 starts, but he does have a career-high 28.9 percent strikeout rate.
