Eagles Trade For Jordan Howard
6 years agoThe Philadelphia Eagles acquired running back Jordan Howard from the Chicago Bears on Thursday in exchange for a sixth-round conditional pick in 2020. The pick can become a fifth-rounder, according to a league source. The 24-year-old started out hot in his rookie year in 2016 and has fallen since, rushing 250 times for 935 yards (3.7 yards per carry) and nine touchdowns in 2018. He doesn't offer anything in the passing game, either, and will be atop a crowded backfield in Philly that also features Corey Clement, Josh Adams and Wendell Smallwood. Howard will again be a touchdown-dependent RB2 in his new home. Tarik Cohen becomes even more intriguing back in Chicago. Philly's acquisition of Howard all but rules out the team re-signing Jay Ajayi.
