Eagles Hoping To Have Alshon Jeffery This Thursday
5 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson is optimistic that wide receiver Alshon Jeffery (calf) will be ready for Week 4 on Thursday against the Packers. Jeffery hurt his left calf in the first quarter in Week 2 and sat out the loss on Sunday to the Lions, but he was limited in practice on Monday. DeSean Jackson (groin) is also expected to miss Week 4, but it's looking like Jeffery is closer to a return. With both D-Jax and Jeffery out for most of the last two games, the Eagles have gone with Nelson Agholor, J.J. Arcega-Whiteside and Mack Hollins in three-receiver sets. If Jeffery returns this Thursday, he should be returned to starting lineups in most leagues. He could wind up being a game-time decision, however.
