Eagles Holding Out Hope For Alshon Jeffery, Dallas Goedert
5 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson is holding out hope that wide receiver Alshon Jeffery (calf) and tight end Dallas Goedert (calf) can play in Week 3 against the Lions. Jeffery hasn't practiced all week, and both players look doubtful to suit up on Sunday, so you should make plans to be without them. DeSean Jackson has already been ruled out, which would make Nelson Agholor the top receiver if Jeffery is also inactive. Mack Hollins and rookie J.J. Arcega-Whiteside would see increased roles as well. Arcega-Whiteside is the more attractive target off the waiver wire in the short term over Hollins. Expect tight end Zach Ertz and Agholor to be targeted heavily this weekend.
