Eagles Expected To Use A Lot Of Two-Tight End Sets
6 years agoThe Philadelphia Eagles are expected to use a ton of two-tight end sets in 2018 involving tight ends Zach Ertz and rookie Dallas Goedert. Twenty three percent of the team's offensive snaps last year involved 12 personnel -- one running back, two tight ends and two receivers -- which was sixth most in the league. Goedert, a second-round pick, looks like he's ready to make a huge impact in the red zone, and he's looking to be an Ertz clone. Quarterback Nick Foles connected with Goedert three times for touchdowns against the first-team defense on Wednesday during red-zone drills. Goedert may be the most impressive rookie tight end, and he's in a great offense to utilize his talents right away, even though he'll play second fiddle to Ertz. He's a great dynasty pick and could even work as a low-end TE2 with touchdown upside.
