2 years agoThe Philadelphia Eagles defense held the New York Giants to 16 points and generated two sacks during the team's 22-16 Week 18 victory. The team finishes the season with 70 total sacks and 27 turnovers. They were two shy of the single-season sack record held by the 1984 Chicago Bears. The Eagles' defense was one of the top-scoring fantasy defenses in 2022, being one of the rare few options that could be relied upon on a weekly basis. The additions of Haasan Redick, James Bradberry, Kyzir White, and rookie Jordan Davis made massive improvements and allowed Philadelphia to average 19.1 points per game allowed to opposing offenses. The team will likely lose some veterans this offseason and will need to resign Bradberry if they want to keep him in 2023 after giving him a one-year deal this past offseason. However, they currently hold the No. 10 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, and general manager Howie Roseman is likely to make moves this upcoming offseason to replenish the defense.
