Dylan Carlson Removed On Tuesday With Apparent Injury
3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals outfielder Dylan Carlson (undisclosed) was lifted in the seventh inning of Tuesday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers. Lars Nootbaar entered the game to take over for him in right field. Carlson struck out in the top of the seventh inning and showed a hint of discomfort, but it wasn't clear what he aggravated. After the game, Cardinals manager Mike Shildt refused to directly respond to any questions about whether he was concerned about an injury for Carlson. He just told the reporters it was a double switch and said, "We'll leave it at that for now," suggesting there's more to it that he isn't ready to speak on. We should know more about the nature and extent of Carlson's injury on Wednesday.
