Dwayne Haskins Suffers High Ankle Sprain
5 years agoWashington Redskins rookie quarterback Dwayne Haskins (ankle) suffered a high ankle sprain in the Week 16 loss to the Giants, according to sources, but he'll get an MRI exam and other tests on Monday to make sure. Haskins was 12-for-15 for 133 yards and two touchdowns against New York before his injury. If the rookie indeed has a high ankle sprain, he won't be able to suit up in the regular season finale against the Cowboys. With a weak supporting cast, Haskins has mostly struggled in his first season in the NFL and has been a low-end QB2 for fantasy owners. Having Case Keenum under center in Week 17 would actually be better news for receivers Terry McLaurin and Steven Sims Jr.
