Duke Johnson Asks To Be Traded
6 years agoThe representatives for Cleveland Browns running back Duke Johnson have asked the team to trade him, according to a league source. The Jets, Texans and Eagles have all been interested in Johnson since the Browns signed Kareem Hunt in February, and other teams have inquired as well. Johnson also didn't show up to voluntary offseason workouts on Monday. He's also removed most of his Browns pictures from social media. One source believes Cleveland is holding out for a high pick for the 2015 third-round selection. Johnson will only count $3.05 million against the salary cap this year, so the Browns haven't been in a hurry to trade him. Johnson's role shrunk down the stretch last year, and he's unlikely to have much of a role in the passing game if he sticks around. His fantasy value could be rejuvenated with a change of scenery, but that's to be determined.
