6 years agoThe Miami Marlins placed relief pitcher Drew Steckenrider (elbow) on the 10-day injured list on Wednesday with right elbow inflammation and recalled pitcher Jose Quijada from Triple-A New Orleans in a corresponding move. Initially in the mix for saves for the Fish to open the year, Steckenrider has been awful, going 0-2 with a 6.28 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 14 K's in 14 1/3 innings. Sergio Romo remains the favorite for ninth-inning duties in Miami, although he's been shaky and won't see all that many chances for the last-place Marlins. Steckenrider shouldn't be owned anywhere at this point.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
