3 years agoThe San Diego Padres placed left-handed reliever Drew Pomeranz (forearm) back on the 10-day injured list on Friday with left forearm inflammation. It's been a tough year for Pomeranz due to injuries, as he also missed seven weeks earlier in 2021 with a left shoulder impingement and lat tightness. However, manager Jayce Tingler is hoping that Pomeranz can return as early as next Saturday. That would be nice, since he has a 1.59 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 22/9 K/BB in his 17 relief innings this year. Right-hander Miguel Diaz was recalled from the minors to help replace Pomeranz. He's been great for the Friars this year with a 2.55 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 26 strikeouts in 14 appearances (two starts) over 24 2/3 innings, but there's little fantasy value unless he makes some more spot starts.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
