3 years agoSan Diego Padres manager Jayce Tingler said that he expects relief pitcher Drew Pomeranz (forearm) to be activated from the 10-day injured list before the game against the Washington Nationals on Saturday. The left-handed reliever was dealing with left forearm inflammation and also missed seven weeks with a shoulder impingement this year. The 32-year-old will be a huge boost to San Diego's bullpen, as he's posted a 1.59 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 22 strikeouts in 17 innings pitched this year. However, with Mark Melancon locked in as the Friars ninth-inning arm, Pomeranz doesn't hold much fantasy value in leagues that don't count saves.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
