Drew Brees Injures Right Hand Against Rams
5 years agoNew Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees (thumb) injured his right hand in Week 2 against the Rams and is on the sidelines. Brees has his right thumb wrapped and hasn't even attempted to throw a football while backup Teddy Bridgewater is in the game against Los Angeles. It's a worst-case scenario for Brees owners, especially since the future Hall of Famer went 3-for-5 for 38 yards and a touchdown before he slammed his right hand against Rams pass-rusher Aaron Donald. Bridgewater is one of the best backups in the NFL, but he's no Brees. If Brees is forced to miss future games, Bridgewater will be a high-end QB2 option in two-QB leagues.
