5 years agoNew York Mets first baseman Dominic Smith is starting in left field and is hitting second on Wednesday against Dodgers starting pitcher Walker Buehler. J.D. Davis will start on the bench. Smith only has 49 at-bats on the year in a bench role for the Metropolitans, but he's hitting an impressive .347/.458/.490 with a homer and six RBI in that role. That includes a .333 average (12-for-36) with a homer and five of his RBI against right-handers.
