5 years agoNew York Mets first baseman/outfielder Dominic Smith is in left field and is batting second again on Friday against Diamondbacks starting pitcher Jon Duplantier, who will be making his first major league start. Smith has started the last two games against right-handers, with J.D. Davis getting the nod against southpaws. Smith is hitting an incredible .364/.462/.545 with two homers, 16 runs and seven RBI in just 55 at-bats, but he might start working his way into the lineup more often if he continues to hit. He'll be a fine DFS choice in the No. 2 spot against a young right-hander this evening.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
