Domingo German Nearing Innings Limit?
5 years agoNew York Yankees manager Aaron Boone suggested that the team could skip a start for Domingo German or pull him from outings sooner as the regular season nears an end. It's believed that German's innings limit is in the area of 140 to 150 innings, and he's already thrown 120 total this year (116 in the majors). No matter what happens, though, German will be all systems go for the playoffs. The 27-year-old right-hander has been a revelation this year for fantasy owners and the Yankees, especially in the wake of Luis Severino's (lat) injury. German leads the league with 16 wins and has a 3.96 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 124 strikeouts in 116 innings over 20 starts and one relief outing. Just keep in mind that he might be tougher to rely on for wins and quality starts down the stretch.
