Dolphins Signing Tyler Kroft
2 years agoThe Miami Dolphins are signing veteran free-agent tight end Tyler Kroft to an undisclosed deal on Tuesday, according to his agent, Mike McCartney. Kroft will be joining his fourth team in the last four seasons after spending the 2022 season mostly as a blocker with the San Francisco 49ers. In 11 games (four starts), Kroft had just four catches on five targets for 57 yards and no touchdowns. The 30-year-old's best season came back in 2017 with the Cincinnati Bengals, when he had 42 receptions on 62 targets for 404 yards and seven touchdowns in 16 starts. There should be more opportunity in Miami, as Durham Smythe is currently lined up as the starter at the position, but it's still unlikely that Kroft will move the fantasy needle in his new home.
