Dodgers To Skip Rich Hill This Weekend
6 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Rich Hill will have his final start of the season skipped this weekend against the Giants. Instead, the Dodgers will go with Hyun-Jin Ryu, Clayton Kershaw and rookie Walker Buehler. Hill could be available out of the bullpen to close out the season or he could also pitch a potential Game 163 or wild-card game. Aside from his last start against the Padres, Hill hasn't been very good in September, going 4-0 but with a 5.09 ERA in 23 innings. Most of the damage came on five home runs, as he also struck out 30 hitters in that span. Hill has the flexibility to pitch as a starter or reliever if the Dodgers make the playoffs.
