Dodgers Pick Up Daniel Hudson's 2023 Option
2 years agoThe Los Angeles Dodgers are picking up right-handed reliever Daniel Hudson's (knee) $6.5 million option for the 2023 season, according to sources. Hudson posted an excellent 2.22 ERA (2.04 FIP), a 0.90 WHIP, five saves and 30 strikeouts for LA in 24 1/3 innings out of the bullpen this year before suffering a season-ending torn ACL. The Dodgers will also likely get a team option for the 2024 season worth around $6.5 million on Hudson. Along with his five saves, the 35-year-old veteran also had nine holds, but his season came to an end in June. Hudson isn't going to be the Dodgers closer next year, but he should see a handful of chances and will remain relevant in holds leagues if he continues to pitch well.
